Eminem’in yeni albümünden çıkardığı ilk iki single. Şarkı sözleri kadar klipleriyle de tartışmalara neden olmayı başardı.”We Made You”da ünlü isimleri ti’ye alan “3 AM” de ise psikozlu bir seri katili canlandıran Eminem’in klipleriyle hayranlarını şoke etmesi aslında ilk değil daha önce de bunu bir çok kez yaptı.

We Made You
Yeni albümün ilk single’ı “We Made You”nun klibi Nisan ayının ilk haftası müzik kanallarında dönmeye başladı.Joseph Kahn’ın yönetiminde Las Vegas’ta çekilenklipte “Rock of Love” ve “star trek” gibi tv şovları alaya alınırken müzisyenin hedef tahtasında başta Amy Winehouse olmak üzere birçok ünlü yer alıyor.Bu ünlüler arasında Jessica Simpson, Bret Michaels, Britney Spears, Kevin Federline, Ellen deGeneres, portia de Rossi, Jessica Alba, Sarah Palin, Elvis Presley, Tony Romo, John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston ve Kim Kardashian da bulunuyor.

3 A.M
“We Made You” gibi eğlenceli bir klibin ardından gelen “ 3AM” şoke edici oldu. Yönetmen Syndrome’un çektiği klibin mekanı Detroit’teki Popsomp Hills Rehabilitasyon merkezi.Eminem, klipte bu merkezden kaçmaya çalışanve kendisini durdurmak isteyenherkesi mutfak bıçağıyla öldüren psikozlu bir seri katili canlandırıyor.KlipteEminem’in alter egosu Slim Shady’nin öldürdüğümasum insanların kanlar içindeki cansız bedenleri sık sık ekrana geliyor.Şarkının sözlerinde de Shady’nin insanları nasıl öldürdüğünü öğreniyoruz. Sözlerde “Kuzuların Sessizliği” filmine de gönderme yer alıyor.

MOSH
2004 tarihli “Encore” albümünde yer alan bu şarkı, 2004 ABD başkanlık Seçimleri öncesinde yayınlandı.Seçmenleri, George W. Bush’a karşı oy kullanmaya çağıran ve Irak sevaşını eleştiren şarkının animasyon klibi GNN’den Ian Anaba yöntiminde ortaya çıktı.Sanat yönetmeni phong.com’dan Anson Vogt’tu.Klipte öfkeli halkın oy veripkaderine razı olmak yerine ABD’nin başkentine yürüyüşünü izliyoruz.Ardından aynı kalabalık protesto gösterisi düzenleyipisteklerini haykırıyor.”Belki bu korkağıseçip ona güç verdiğimiz için Tanrı bizi cezanladırıyor” sözlerinin yer aldığı klipte Bağdat’tan evine dönen ancak yine savaşmaya gideceği belirtilen bir Amerikan askeri gösteriliyor.Klip, bir grup ,Eminem hayranının oy verdiği sahneye eşlik eden”Bu gece vurulursam bunun sebebini biliyorsunuz.Çünkü size mücadele etmenizi söyledim.”sözleriyle bitiriyor.

STAN

JUST LOSE IT

Eminem’in ünlülerle alay ettiği ilk klip “We Made You” değil.”just Lose It”in klibinde de Michael Jackson, MC Hammer ve şarkısı “U Can’t Touch This” ile “Bad Santa” adlı film alaya alınıyor.

Eminem’in tweeter’a koyduğu bu fotoğraf, “3AMéin klibinde bahsi geçen Popsomp Hills’in önünde çekilmiş.Bu ismi Google’a yazdığınızda karşınıza çıkan ilk site www.therelapse.com . Sitede rehabilitasyon merkezinin içinde tüyler ürpertici bir gezintiye çıkabiliyorsunuz.Aslında her şey Eminem’in yeni albümünün tanıtımı için tasarlanmış.Gerçekte olmayan, ama Eminem’in klibinde bahsi geçen rehabilitasyon merkezinin kurallar listesi ise şöyle;

  • Hayat kısa, her zamankinden fazla eğlenin. Biz yardımcı oluruz.
  • Acı,sadece tolere edilemez,aslında bakarsanız özendirilir.

Rappers React To Eminem’s Comeback Disc, “I Think ‘Insane’ Is Genius,” Says Kanye West

With Eminem’s comeback album, Relapse, officially coming out last Tuesday, fans and industry people alike have had a chance to listen and offer their opinions on the highly anticipated album. In the upcoming issue of Entertainment Weekly, the magazine spoke to several people who worked on the album as well as Em’s peers to get more incite into the disc and the superstar’s road back into the spotlight.

Kanye West told EW, “I think that the ‘Insane’ song is genius.” Producer and Eminem’s tour DJ, The Alchemist, said, “I can’t even explain how in the zone he is. I think some of the drugs make you introverted and antisocial. Maybe everybody got accustomed to that with Em, because that became part of his personality. But now that’s all gone. The funny guy and the creativity are all still there. Maybe he had to almost die for it to happen, but man, he’s on point.”

DMC, who Em recently inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, along with the late Jam Master Jay and Reverend Run, is also a huge fan. “His music is his therapy,” DMC said. “I can relate to everything he’s saying. [Expressing] those dark, depressing times, that’s what rock ‘n’ roll is supposed to do.”

Relapse is currently in stores now. HitsDailyDouble.com already projects the album to be the biggest first-week seller of 2009, with early estimates of the album breaking 600,000 units on Wednesday’s (May 27) Nielsen SoundScan sales report.

Eminem’s Relapse Lyrics

Eminem’s Relapse Lyrics: What To Listen For
We decode the MC’s dark rhymes, in which he discusses his struggle with addiction and Proof’s death.
Relapse is Eminem’s grand return to hip-hop after keeping quiet for almost five years. Em has publicly discussed his struggle with sobriety and his feelings about the death of his best friend Proof, who was fatally shot in 2006, but the Detroit MC goes even deeper into those emotions in the lyrics on the new LP.

In the album’s liner notes, Eminem dedicates Relapse to his late friend. He’s said recently that he couldn’t put together a song in tribute to Proof that he was satisfied with. Instead, he honored Proof by dedicating the entire album to him and drops tidbits here and there about his fellow D12 member.

“With this record, and you can hear it, maybe he sort of references Proof in ways people who really know and people who really care will pick up on,” said Sacha Jenkins, who collaborated with Em on the rapper’s biography, “The Way I Am.” “But he’s also trying to pick up the pieces and move beyond and continue to create art in the spirit of his friendship with Proof.”

Here, MTV News pulls out a few lyrics from Relapse in which Em sets the record straight or paints a clearer picture of his struggle.

“Déjà Vu”
In December 2007, Eminem was reportedly hospitalized for pneumonia. On “Déjà Vu,” one of the standout tracks on Relapse, Em clears the air about his supposed illness. He was sick, but it was due to his immune system being weakened by drugs. “That Christmas, you know that whole pneumonia thing,” he raps. “It was bologna, was it the methadone, ya think?” On the same track, Em mentions Proof by name for the only time on the project. In the song’s third verse, Em says his mourning helped him spiral out of control. “Wouldn’t even be taking this sh– if DeShaun didn’t die/ Oh, yeah, there’s an excuse — you lose Proof so you use.”

“Stay Wide Awake”/ “Same Song & Dance”
Em has always had a dark and twisted humor, but a few tracks on Relapse are especially morbid. According to XXL Editor in Chief Datwon Thomas, Em watched a number of crime shows during his hiatus. His interest in the macabre is more than evident. “So dark and so cold my friends don’t know this other side of me,” he raps over Dre’s sinister production on “Stay Wide Awake.” “There’s a monster inside of me, it’s quite ugly and it frightens me.”

“Beautiful”
This Eminem-produced track is the album’s magnum opus, clocking in at more than six minutes. On the somber tune, Em reveals not only his battle with addiction, but his struggle over whether his run in rap was finished. He’s long dodged retirement rumors, but here he raps: “I’m starting to feel distant again, so I decided to pick up this pen/ And try to make an attempt to vent, but I can’t admit/ Or come to grips with the fact that I may be done with rap/ I need a new outlet.”

“Insane”/ “My Mom”
We’ve heard these types of tracks before from Em. Slim Shady is crazy! His mother is crazy! But these songs are also the first response the rapper has had publicly since his mother, Debbie Nelson, released her own book, “My Son Marshall, My Son Eminem: Setting the Record Straight on My Life as Eminem’s Mother.” In her tome, Nelson portrays herself as a loving matriarchal figure and Em as a child who was bullied by the men in her life, leading to his fears and paranoia. On “My Mom,” Em, however, claims he’s a drug addict because his mother is one. And on “Insane,” he raps about being abused by his stepfather.

“Underground”
Before Slim Shady was a celebrity-bashing superstar on singles like “Without Me,” Eminem’s alter ego was an outlandish lyricist whose shocking lines were so brilliant they elicited more laughs than backlash. On the final track from Relapse, Em returns to his “Just Don’t Give a F—” days as he wrecks the mic, bar after bar. “Six semen samples, 17 strands of hair/ Found in the back of a van after the shoot with Vanity Fair,” he raps. “Hannah Montana prepare/ To elope with a can opener or be cut open like cantaloupe on canopy beds/ And Glad bags, yeah, glad to be back.”

DJ Drama, the Alchemist, DJ Whoo Kid and more offer up their favorite Em tracks to Mixtape Daily

Eminem has been a beast since his demo tape. We all know that. He’s told us the good, the bad and the disgusting in his life and never held back any punches. He throws haymakers on the mic, from guest collaborations like “Off the Wall” with Redman and “Renegade” with Jay-Z to the album cut “Marshall Mathers.” He’s one of the best to ever to do it, and he’s made a return to spotlight with his new LP Relapse.

In honor of King Mathers coming back, we’re coming double-fisted. First, we have an exclusive, vintage freestyle that Em recorded right here in the MTV offices about a decade ago. As you’ll see, Em was still rocking the blond ‘do and was a monster, coming off the dome back then. He laid his raps while visiting DJ Stretch Armstrong.

Speaking of DJs, we’ve assembled some of the best in the game right now to give us their tracks for a fantasy Slim Shady mixtape. Before you have a heart attack, we couldn’t include all of Em’s greatest songs in one article, but feel free to tell us which ones we should include in part two. Big-up to Alchemist for getting the gig as Em’s DJ while he’s doing this promo run.

“Just Don’t Give a F—”
“It was the first record that really introduced me to Eminem. It was unlike anything I ever heard. When I first heard that, I was an instant fan. When I heard that song, I was a complete nobody at that time. I fooled the world by pretending that I had an online Internet radio show. I got in touch with Eminem and [his manager] Paul Rosenberg and their camp when they was doing promo shows. Back then, I got them to come to my mom’s basement, because I was such a fan and I couldn’t wait to hear more stuff from this guy. I got them to my mom’s basement, and we hung out. He was definitely drunk. … Definitely, you could tell he was kinda a live wire. He actually came with Royce Da 5’9″.”
- Clinton Sparks

“The Way I Am”
“To me, Eminem is the ultimate personable artist. He always brings you in his life. ‘The Way I Am,’ he was already dealing with so much, really coming into his iconic status. For him to deliver that record and deal with what was going on … it’s amazing that a record like that could be a single. Lyrically, he’s one of the greatest of all time. That’s one of my favorite Eminem records. The flow was ill, as it always is. He delivered quality and gave his Eminem angry approach to it. You could feel the hostility in the record.” – DJ Drama

“Love Me” (featuring 50 Cent and Obie Trice)
“That was a hard record right there. I guess it was so much sh– going on, they didn’t concentrate on that record. It was one of those records we should have done the video and pushed it more, but at that time, Eminem didn’t need no pushing. He was already moving millions of units. It’s hard when you’re moving millions of units — 8 million, 10 million units — what’s the purpose of concentrating on promoting separate records? Everybody heard it, it was poppin’, but I felt they should have put a little light on the record. I think that was the first time we heard Em and 50 together.” – DJ Whoo Kid

“Hello”
” ‘Hello,’ it’s Em saying he’s back. You could tell Dre mixed that record because of the sound. I like some of the cuts and scratches on the hook. That’s the classic Em we love. He’s been away for a second. It’s Em. His flows on the new album, me personally, I like how he rapped on ‘Hello,’ the ‘Beautiful’ record is ill. ‘Bagpipes Over Baghdad,’ I like the style he raps on that. For my personal taste, I like the introspective Em.” – DJ Skee

“Underground”
“When I first heard [Relapse], that was the song I said, ‘This is gonna shut mutha—-ers up.’ Straight up. It would not be an issue. Nobody would be like, ‘I didn’t like this, I didn’t like the flow.’ … When we perform that song, Em takes a spot on the stage, and that’s it. He picks a spot and dumbs out. There’s not a lot of moving. When we’re rehearing the song, you know, ‘This is gonna be something crazy.’ He says, ‘Turn the lights down,’ they put the spotlight on Em, and it’s just snap rap. In the current day and age, you don’t hear songs like that. It doesn’t seem like any of that other sh– going on in the world or in the music industry was going on in his mind when he [made the song]. He was strictly into the craft. I don’t think anybody is f—ing with that.” – the Alchemist

“Insane”
“The first thing I thought when I heard it was, ‘Oh, word? Another thing that happened to him that we’re just finding out about?’ I was like, ‘This guy’s life is worse than people think it is.’ It’s great that he’s not afraid to say it or tell the people. There’s a lot of people out there that sh– happens to them that they feel embarrassed or they don’t know how to do it. Nobody can tell a tale of tragedy better than Eminem and make it f—ing interesting and cool to listen to and make fun out of it. He’s not saying it like ‘woe is me.’ He’s saying, ‘This sh– is f—ed up. F— it! This is who I became because of it. F— you.’ ” – Clinton Sparks

“The Real Slim Shady”
“Em doesn’t get much club play [in the U.S.], but when I go overseas and play ‘The Real Slim Shady,’ that’s a classic over there. When people hear it overseas, they be buggin’ the f— out. The beat is hot. It’s a long verse, but when the hook comes on, everybody is screaming. It’s kinda like ‘Jump Around.’ I did it recently in Beirut, Lebanon, and parts of France. Those songs connect to the rich people and young kids.” – DJ Whoo Kid

“We as Americans”
“That was an old record. That’s when he said, ‘I don’t rap for dead presidents/ I’d rather see the president dead/ It’s never been said, but I set precedents.’ Sh–, man! He always figures a way to step beyond what other mutha—-ers are doing with the bars. I always like that beat too.”
- the Alchemist

50 Cent’s “Patiently Waiting” (featuring Eminem)
“Classic! 50 and Em over an Eminem beat. 50 in rare form, Eminem in rare form. Both on top of the world at the time. A monster who created another monster. That was just classic. Eminem beats at that time was such gold and had such rich sound. 50 fit the beat perfectly on that. Just the hook alone — ‘I been patiently waiting for a track to explode on’ — summed everything up.”
- DJ Drama

“8 Mile Road” and “Lose Yourself”
“That whole ’8 Mile’ soundtrack, even though it wasn’t Em on the whole thing, it was ill. ‘Lose Yourself,’ that was Em’s best. That’s my favorite commercial Eminem single. That was Em in his prime. It was a great new direction for him. What the people in the mainstream knew him was for some of the funny stuff and all the crazy stuff with Kim. But the inspirational side was great motivation music. I’ve used it to motivate me. To show a white boy from the ‘hood in Detroit can come out and do it, it’s inspirational.”-
-DJ Skee

Notorious B.I.G.’s “Dead Wrong Remix” (featuring Eminem)
“That was hot too. Em held it down very well. Nobody complained about that. You would never hear Tupac or Biggie doing songs with 60 percent of the artists that are booked on those remix albums. But Eminem, it felt like B.I.G. would have done a song with Em. With the remixes with dead rappers, I don’t pay attention to them, but I wanted to see how Em would alter his lyrics to f— with Biggie. He hung with him.”
- DJ Whoo Kid

Eminem’s Relapse Leaks Two Weeks Early

Eminem’s highly anticipated comeback disc Relapse leaked onto the net today (May 7), two weeks before its official release date.

Earlier today there was a full on onslaught of Eminem material that hit the net including snippets of tracks and a clip from his “Crack A Bottle” music video. On “Insane,” one track that leaked separately this afternoon the reclusive rapper graphically jokes about getting molested by his step dad.

“My step father said that I sucked in the bed,” he spit, “till one night he snuck in and said/ we’re going out back I want my dick sucked in the shed/cant we just play with Teddy Rucksbin instead/ after I fuck you in the butt, get some head/ bust a nut, get some rest/ the next day my mother said I don’t know wassup with this kid/ the bastard wont even eat nothing he’s fed/ he just hung himself in the bedroom, he’s dead/ Debbie don’t let that motherfucker get you upset/ let me go in there put a fucking cigarette to his neck / I bet you he’s faking it/ I bet you he just probably wants to see how upset she could get.”

On Monday (May 4), a song planned for release on iTunes the following day came out early. “Old Times Sake,” featuring Dr. Dre, has the “dynamic duo” rhyming about smoking weed.

Relapse will hit stores on May 19.
